The team
Québecois guides working in the adventure tourism industry since 1999.
During an adventure, the guides are the centerpiece of a successful trip. We pay great attention to the selection of guides and offer them all the tools and resources necessary for them to perform and naturally achieve the objective of a successful trip. We are a small team and hire people who have been referred to us by our friends, our partners, our staff. Which means we know most of the guides we hire. Basically, we are looking for individuals who share our values, beautiful humans who enjoy life.
Marc-André Lebuis
Owner, mountain biking, road bike, hiking guide and backcountry ski guide in his Vallee Bras-du-Nord courtyard.
At the age of 17, Marc-André embarked on his first major adventure: a 4,000 km mountain bike journey from Calgary to the Grand Canyon in Arizona—a trip that solidified his lifelong passion for adventure. “Mountain biking and outdoor pursuits have been an integral part of my life ever since. Being active in nature helps me achieve and maintain that much-sought-after balance.”
A professional adventure guide for 26 years now, he spent eight years working in the forestry industry in Western Canada before settling down in Lac-Beauport near Quebec City to raise his family. In 2012, he began building Villa Éco north of Saint-Raymond, describing it as a space seamlessly integrated into its surroundings to make the most of an exceptionally generous natural setting.
“Today, I am deeply driven to introduce travelers from around the globe to our rich folklore and our beautiful province of Québec through a balanced, sustainable, and wholesome inbound travel model.

Gabriel Gakwaya
Mountain bike guide
Antoine Migneault
Mountain bike, road bike, hiking guide.
Driven by a genuine passion for sharing outdoor experiences, Antoine has traveled across the continent over the past few years guiding hiking and trekking expeditions. In the winter, you’ll find him exploring the Gaspé Peninsula on backcountry skis, collecting snowpack data for Avalanche Québec. For the past two years, Antoine has spent his summer vacations guiding mountain biking trips with our team. You might just meet him on your next adventure!
Thierry Côté
Backcountry ski guide
Thierry embodies the classic Québec adventurer who headed west in search of big thrills. For over 15 years in Whistler, he worked on the slopes as a ski patroller and avalanche safety instructor. Come summertime, he chased the wind, coaching windsurfing on Oregon’s famed Columbia River near Mt. Hood, the Canary Islands, and other bucket-list spots around the world.
Eventually coming full circle, Thierry moved back home to Quebec City to raise his family and open his own private acupuncture clinic.
.Le feu de l’aventure brûle encore en lui et nous sommes privilégiés de pouvoir avoir accès à sa très grande expérience de ski hors-piste et de le voir guider quelques-uns de nos circuits.
Marie Ève Marcotte
Mountain biking guide
A dedicated mother and accomplished HR professional in the public sector, Marie-Ève has mountain biking woven deep into her DNA. ‘I started riding at 24 on a downhill bike and entered the race scene the very next year. Driven by commitment, passion, intensity, and discipline in everything I do, I quickly saw strong results and competed nationally for several years. I later transitioned to Enduro, a discipline that proved to be the perfect fit for me, pushing my limits in technical skill, endurance, and speed all at once.’
Today, Marie-Ève runs her own mountain bike guiding and coaching business. We are honored to collaborate with her on select trips throughout the summer season.
Laurie Dumas
Hiking and backcountry ski guide
Laurie began her career guiding year-round across Québec and Western Canada. After a few years on the trails, she transitioned into avalanche forecasting, education, and backcountry safety for winter sports enthusiasts. Now an avalanche forecaster with Avalanche Québec, she makes the most of her summers off to play outside! Whether rock climbing, mountain biking, or diving into any outdoor pursuit, she simply follows where the wind takes her. Driven by a fond nostalgia for her guiding days, she returns to her roots from time to time in the summer to lead groups and share the sheer joy of the outdoors. Now settled in Gaspésie, her friends often joke: ‘Your house is just a myth—you’re never actually there!
Pat Perreault
Mountain biking guide
Born and raised right here in Lac-Beauport, a physical education teacher at his childhood school, a devoted father, and the driving force behind the LB CYCLE community—it’s hard to find a better definition of a true local. Pat is our resident mountain bike guru: he knows the trails, visualizes them, builds them, and rides them.
‘Riding epic trails brings an endless sense of joy that keeps me grounded and sane. While modern technology often pulls people away from nature, bikes will always be at their best in the peace of the forest, far from traffic and city noise. Carving out exceptional new trails and weaving them into unique routes for visiting riders is an incredibly rewarding process.’
We are deeply grateful to benefit from the unmatched wealth of MTB experience Pat brings to our team.
Nous sommes très reconnaissants d’avoir accès au bagage impressionnant d’expériences MTB que Pat représente pour notre organisation.
